Hershey's Marketing Chief Resigns

Thomas Hernquist, senior vice president and global chief growth officer at The Hershey Company, has resigned, effective December 31, 2007. Hernquist now plans to work on ventures that "leverage strategic consumer insights and innovation," according to a Hershey press release. Hernquist joined Hershey in 2003 as a senior vice president and chief marketing officer. During his tenure, he worked to develop Hershey's new product platforms and accelerated the growth in the company's premium and dark chocolate portfolios. He joined Hershey from Fortune Brands, where he served as senior vice president of global marketing. He is also on the American Marketing Association's executive committee and serves on the board of directors of Bon Ton.
