The digital marketing assistant for the Mount Airy College Center for Health Care Education will be responsible for producing, updating and enhancing content for the center’s website, building engagement and a consistent voice on the center’s Facebook page, and tracking metrics across all digital multimedia communication assets. Specific responsibilities are as follows:
Develop content strategy based on user needs and stakeholder feedback
Write, design and produce changes to the center website and Facebook page
Consult, collaborate, and advise center director and marketing team
Create and adhere to editorial calendar that drives key messages on website and Facebook
Determine process to share content with partner community colleges
Inventory existing content, identify gaps, and manage production to web process
Use analytics to improve content and address website design
Implement website search engine optimization recommendations
The digital marketing assistant will report to the director of the Mount Airy College Center, with strategic marketing direction provided by the center’s marketing team, consisting of marketing professionals from each of the partner community colleges. This job takes place at the Mount Airy campus.
Requirements:
Knowledge of digital content best practices, analytics
Proficient with online content management systems (preferred experience with Drupal), HTML, and social media applications
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software for web design
Experience implementing search engine optimization recommendations
Ability to write content for web and digital marketing
A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Proficient on taking photographs for use on the web, social media, or other digital capacities
Ability to design web pages within online content management system
Skilled at working under pressure and on tight deadlines
Education and Experience
Associate degree or higher in communications or other relevant field
At least three years professional work experience in web and multimedia communications, specifically in content strategy
