This position will lead, execute and analyze Retention Marketing programs across Demand Media’s publishing properties. Areas of focus include identifying, recommending, developing and implementing best-in-class retention programs and ensuring flawless execution of these initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead flawless execution of multi-channel tactics to achieve specific company and property-specific objectives across retention channels starting with email.
For these programs, provide end-to-end project management: Partner with Retention Leadership to conceive strategy, develop creative brief, write or manage copy and creative development, provide detailed program specifications including targeting and segmentation, oversee development and QA by Retention Coordinator, report on results and optimization efforts.
Key player and contributor in testing and measuring effectiveness of various retention tactics.
Provide weekly/monthly reports and insights on program performance by proactively monitoring email campaigns.
Act as quality assurance checkpoint for all programs and campaigns as needed.
Leverage existing email platform capabilities to deliver optimum communications to users. Recommend platform requirements that will support growth of initiatives.
Perform special projects in support of key Retention initiatives.
This position requires close partnerships and the ability to work across organizations including Site Stakeholders, Product, BI, Engineering, and Programmatic teams.
Requirements:
3 years experience in email marketing with extensive knowledge of ESP platforms
2-3 years experience leading cross-functional marketing projects; 1-3 years of direct management experience
Experience with other marketing acquisition or retention channels a plus – such as mobile push, social media, and paid acquisition channels
Strong written and verbal communications with the ability to structure, articulate and present a persuasive recommendation to key peers and leadership
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage group workflow
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
High proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Bachelor’s Degree
