Marketing Director Jobs

A marketing director holds the highest position in a marketing department and oversees the execution of all marketing activities. He is responsible for the conceptualization and functioning of marketing programs. A marketing director contributes to the development and growth of an organization through multifaceted roles. A marketing director works closely with management and the sales team to define an organizations objectives and plan marketing strategies and budgets in order to realize the goals of marketing programs.
A marketing director is also responsible for maintaining a good working environment for his or her subordinates. He or she develops and facilitates marketing communication plans, determines whether marketing objectives are being met, conducts consumer research, and also plans advertising and promotional activities.
A marketing director will typically have a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience. A proven ability to handle a team, along with presentation and analytical skills, is a must. A postgraduate degree in marketing is typically considered essential for the position of marketing director. The ability to work in complex environment with high energy levels is also required. Finally, the ideal marketing director will also possess excellent negotiation and communication skills.
