Marketing Manager Jobs

A marketing manager, also known as a marketing head, is typically responsible for all of the marketing activities of a company. The major focus for a marketing manager is on the sales growth/sales improvement of the given organization. The other areas that fall under a marketing manager's purview are advertising, market analysis, consumer research, and the evaluation of competitors' strategies.
The marketing manager is responsible for preparing and organizing marketing plans, with the sales department as the focal point, to meet the organization's objectives. Marketing managers need to be able to plan budgets properly, allocating the correct amounts to various departments simultaneously for maximum benefits. Designing and developing marketing plans while keeping in mind the product life-cycle and market requirements along with consumer needs also falls under the marketing manager's job profile.
A marketing manager should have solid experience in the sales field. The job essentially requires a college degree, with a marketing degree being preferable. Prior experience in the marketing field is a must for the position of marketing manager. Marketing managers should also have the knack for understanding present and future marketing needs. The strong candidate would also have excellent communication and analytical skills in order to design marketing strategies and promotional activities.
