Research Marketing Jobs

A research marketing job primarily involves managing and directing quantitative and qualitative research efforts including the determination of the research objectives, request for proposal (evaluation and selection), project work flow, sample selection, data collection, focus groups, data analysis, and report writing. Providing support for developing short- and long-term marketing plans, developing segmentation models, and determining buyer value attributes and associated marketing and sales strategies are also a part of a research marketing job.
Further, a research marketing job also involves developing marketing and services programs on the basis of the opportunities within the market place and the communities served by the company to achieve growth and retention goals. This role would also include working with relevant channels to develop programs on identified technologies.
Typically, candidates for a research marketing job are required to have a bachelor's degree in marketing or business with a focus on market research, statistics, or equivalent. Strong analytical and communication skills are also a must for a research marketing job.
