Web marketing executives should also have the creative skills needed to develop and implement new concepts in today's competitive environment. Additionally, web marketing professionals should demonstrate insight regarding consumers' needs and desires and possess good written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency in software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and knowledge of Access, Photoshop, and HTML are helpful. Web marketing executives with degrees in computer science, information technology, business information technology, or multimedia are highly desirable.
