Preferred QualificationsThe Director of Projects and Communications will oversee and manage major strategic, high-level Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) events and initiatives such as the President's Forum on Inclusive Excellence, diversity conferences, national and regional summits, and guest lectures hosted by the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The preferred candidate will be experienced and have an established reputation for bringing this work to the attention of the national stage, connecting with local and national media to promote DEI initiatives taking place at UofL. This position will also serve as the DEI Communication Specialist responsible for working with University Communications and Marketing to oversee internal and external communications and branding that elevates and demonstrates the university's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The person in this position will draft speeches for the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and develop an online presence that informs and highlights university DEI efforts on campus and in the community. This position is a key member of the Vice President's leadership team.
