The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel is currently recruiting for a Sales Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the coordination of all aspects and functions of the Sales & Marketing Department in accordance to The Carlyle standards.  You will act as the lead communication touch point for both internal and external customers as well act as a support function for both the Area Director of Sales & Marketing and the Sales Directors/Managers. This position is to administratively support the Sales team with focus on Group & Catering Sales including coordination of all aspects and functions related to VIPs guests and programs booked (pre-event/arrival, throughout event/arrival, and post event/departure).

Essentials Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure that all entries in Sales Force (Delphi.dfc) are accurate including setting up a file trace system for each Group booking that documents conversations with client, Sales & Catering Managers and other key hotel staff.

Answer all sales and catering telephone inquiries in a pleasant, courteous and professional manner and ensure that all pertinent information is noted accurately and legibly and quickly communicated to the appropriate manager.

Use Opera to search for specific future or past reservations, add profile information as needed, knowledge of special codes and amenities, access, analyze and print folios for past guests, check rate offerings for specific rate codes, and other Opera functions as they become necessary

Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests

Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy prioritization, organization and follow-up


High school diploma required, and minimum two (2) years of college

Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in ultra-luxury operational or administrative in a union environment; Prefer work experience in the Sales, Marketing, Catering or Conference Services area

Computer skills for MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint and Social Media Applications

Strong command of both spoken and written English with fluency in other languages preferred

Excellent interpersonal relationship with positive attitude and ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Caroline Rose Hunt is one of Dallas' leading ladies from her business ventures to her philanthropic efforts. Caroline has worn many hats in her lifetime including author, traveler, gourmet, entrepreneur, philanthropist, mother of five, grandmother of nineteen, and great-grandmother of seventeen. Since 1980 with the opening of The Mansion on Turtle Creek, Rosewood became synonymous with the very best in luxury accommodations. Amenities for the hotel in London led to her creation of Lady Primrose's, Inc. an entire company devoted to luxury bathing and skin products. Her antiques emporium and tea room, Lady Primrose's Shopping English Countryside, was named the best spot for tea in the US by the British Tea Council. Always in love with words, in 2000 she published her first novel Primrose Past: The 1848 Journal of Young Lady Primrose. She has been involved in many philanthropic efforts including the United Way and received the national award from the Tocqueville Society for her dedication. She is a co-founder of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Foundation where she continues to serve as vice-chair. She supports the Retina Foundation of the Southwest, the Junior League of Dallas, the Texas Council of the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Tiffany Circle of the Red Cross, Celebration of Reading, Heritage Foundation, Crystal Charity Ball, Charter 100, The Dallas Woman's Club, as well as numerous non-profits and arts groups. For ten years she served as a Trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC.
