This summer we’re sending two interns off on an epic road trip throughout the Northwest to form relationships and network with other successful businesses. Together, as a united business community we believe we can fulfill PEMCO’s mission and do more, for more. If you’re an excellent communicator, have a passion for the Pacific Northwest, and want to spend your summer gaining real-world experience with social media marketing, then this is the internship for you.
As our Marketing Intern
, you’ll have the unique opportunity to strategically create content for PEMCO’s social media channels. You’ll also learn how social media marketing helps us with brand awareness, talent acquisition and customer retention and how this fits into a successful business strategy.
This is a full-time paid position starting in May/June, expected to last about 12 weeks (flexible around school schedule), and is based out of our beautiful headquarters in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle
Gain a deep understanding of the PEMCO brand and business model in order to execute effective marketing campaigns
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to create content for social media channels
Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Intern to establish meaningful connections with other businesses in Seattle and Portland
Represent the PEMCO brand and be able to speak confidently about PEMCO’s value propositions
Use your insatiable curiosity around social media to see what other brands and consumers are doing online and how we can learn from them
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, marketing, business, communications, advertising, media studies, applied computer graphics, social media marketing strategy or a related field
Attending a university/college in the Pacific Northwest (Juniors and Seniors preferred)
Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
Ability to work autonomously and in remote locations
Tech, internet and social media savvy
Skilled in social media channels specifically Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Basic video and photo editing skills
A passion for the Northwest community
