Minimum Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area and five years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, public relations, communications or a relevant environment. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.

Special Conditions

The department is especially interested in candidates with higher education marketing experience. First consideration will be given to University of Memphis employees.

Attends College functions as a College representative and establishes contacts. Acts as the primary liaison between the University, departments and organizations in relationship to the assigned task strategies at hand. Serves as the day to day lead on the college’s social media strategy and policies as well as processing initiatives within the college’s social channels. May also assist in the creation of new platforms, strategies and policies based on a targeted constituency, purpose or marketing plan. Monitors and evaluates social media strategy, policy and programs; proposes improvements as needed. Evaluates and maintains the University policy and strategy standards.
