Serve as the marketing advisor to key stakeholders within the defense market and other areas as assigned. n Develop, execute, and prioritize all marketing and communications campaign activities for the sector.n Bring innovative thinking to all marketing and communications activities.n Develop business cases for marketing and communications campaigns and drive the approval process with key leadership.n Build relationships with key market and service line executives, subject matter experts, and the rest of the corporate communications department.n Guide business leaders and subject matter experts on effective client marketing and storytelling.n Coach and mentor marketing team colleagues, sharing best practices and contributing to professional development planning.n Work closely and collaboratively with the creative services, editing, and digital teams to deliver campaigns.n Monitor and report on campaigns by developing metrics and key performance indicators.n Work with subject matter experts to understand complex information and turn it into content that is easily digestible for a wide range of readers.n Develop content for the corporate website and intranet, compelling case studies, executive presentations, thought leadership pieces, marketing slicks, videos, online marketing tools, sales materials, partner materials, kiosks, etc.n Manage project schedules for marketing priorities, ensuring customer expectations are met and projects are completed in accordance with budget.n Serve as an internal champion to build awareness of the defense marketu2019s strategic priorities and marketing approach.nnQualificationsnQualifications:n nn Deep understanding of the defense and space industry, trends, and associated media to help articulate LMIu2019s business, strategies, and core capabilities.n Executive presence, professional client service demeanor, and demonstrated ability to take initiative.n Strong, persuasive communication skills; ability to gain consensus through influence and pivot.n Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating, delegating, and motivating cross-functional groups and activities.n Experience building, managing, and developing a team through formal and informal leadership.n Team player and coach. Committed to the mission, the success of others, and the health of the team. Equally happy presenting to executives as writing a Tweet. No job is too small.n Proven ability to manage multiple and complex priorities.n Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; flexibility and adaptability.n Ability to make connections in a matrixed environment. A natural connector.n Strategic and innovative thinker.n Deep understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategies and how they come together to provide measurable results.n Superior Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts.n Deep understanding of social media tools and platforms.n Previous experience in a professional services environment. Government contracting experience a plus.n Strong content creator with excellent writing skills and a passion for storytelling. Ability to alter style, tone, and brand voice to the platform and audience.n Demonstrated understanding of SEO writing. Ability to manage Google AdWords and Google Analytics accounts and use data to drive optimizations.n Excellent communication skills to facilitate routine and accelerated work requests.n Strong initiative and anticipation of business needs in advance of requests received.n Able to work independently.n 7 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing and communications strategy and planning.n Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in journalism, marketing, or communications.n
