Description

The Senior Market Technical Finance Analyst compiles and analyzes large data sets and is the primary resource for monthly technical data reporting for the North East region. This reporting supports all teams within the Finance and Operations department.

Responsibilities

The Senior Market Technical Finance Analyst works primarily with internal Finance team members along with Actuary, MRA, Corporate Finance and Clinical departments to drive optimization inclusive of activities spanning decisions required for day-to-day operations to strategic planning and addressing specific business performance issues across matrixed organization and fostering key relationships with business stakeholders. The role will leverage experience in Excel, SAS, Power BI, and SQL coding languages to develop and perform complex analytics with a holistic lens on analyzing the member experience, financial implications, and key performance metrics.


Serves as lead technical expert in the finance and operations department
Key outputs from all technical reporting will influence department strategy
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments

Required Qualifications


Bachelor's Degree
2 years' experience using SAS
3 years' experience using SQL
2 years' experience performing data analysis
Comprehensive Knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate with teammates


Preferred Qualifications


Advanced Degree
1 years experience using Power BI
Medicare Advantage experience


Additional Information

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
