DIRECTOR MARKETING (AIRFRAME SYSTEMS)','1900288','!*!Position Purpose:

Reporting to the Airframe

Systems Sales and Marketing Vice President, this position is responsible for

global product/system strategies, and global product/system sales growth,

market segment strategies and business development within existing and in

adjacent market segments for the Airframe Systems Business Unit.

Accountable for development and execution of product/system roadmaps, product

/system priorities and business direction/strategic planning (including new

adjacent markets, mergers, acquisitions and alliances), to maximize market share

that supports company growth and profitability objectives.

Essential Functions:

Leads and/or supervises the Product Line Management function in meeting regional, customer and sales objectives:

Product Line Managers

Sales Support Engineers

Accountable for the disciplined use of product/system roadmaps and prioritization processes to drive product/system strategies

Works closely with the sales directors and account managers to provide input to the development of customer strategies and account plans

Ensures product/system strategies for new and existing products or services are aligned with account plans

Supports significant customer proposals to ensure compliance with customer and Woodward needs

Develop and nurture strategic relationships with customers (focused on the new product/R&D/technology areas)

Accountable for product launch plans, sales tools, presentations and training support of the products/systems

Develops staffing strategies to meet business skill set needs

Mentors and provides career development for direct reports

Responsible for staffing and performance management of direct reports

Develop and manage a departmental budget

Materials and Equipment Used:

General office equipment (computer, phone, fax, etc.)

Working Environment / Physical Activities:

General office environment but may require visits to manufacturing environments

Significant travel, including international ','!*!Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Education or Formal Training:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering

Masters of Business Administration preferred

Additional formal training in specialized areas such as program management and marketing processes

Six Sigma training a plus, minimum Champions Training

Experience Required:

5-10 years sales experience in a related industry with product/marketing responsibility

5 years demonstrated leadership and results

Experience in one or more of the following products would be a plus: Hydraulic Actuation, Electromechanical Actuation, Flight Deck Products (Throttles, Sidesticks, Rudder Pedals), Motors and Position Sensors
