Business Operations Manager, IoT
This role provides day-to-day operational support through completing business development projects and analytical reporting to allow us to make smart decisions with timely information. This role requires an entrepreneurial, organized and collaborative individual with experience in sales, marketing, business analytics, manufacturing and/or project management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Manage IoT's portfolio of current products
Analyze and evaluation of activities, costs, operations, budgets and forecast data to determine progress towards stated goals and objectives.
Assess finished goods inventory levels, work with purchasing to forecast inventory buys in coordination with the sales forecast.
Work with Sales to see if any adjustments need to be made to the sales forecast.
Coordinate with production to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on-time.
Solicit feedback from subordinates, peers, and other team members with the goal of operational improvement.
Manage workflow to assist staff in balancing priorities, providing backup support if needed and otherwise ensuring that all work is accomplished with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of projects, products and related applications.
Work with sales and customers to quote projects and special products
Track each of the Appareo IoT's KPI’s and report to the President
Maintain contact and friendly relationships with customers and suppliers, building a favorable company image. Resolve problems and complaints as they arise.
Assist in developing the annual expense budget for the IoT's operations
Assign and directs all work performed in the IoT business and supervises all areas of operation in accordance with established company policies/procedures, objectives and applicable laws.
Through management decisions, communication and behavior, create a culture and a team that works together to meet customer needs and achieve desired results.
Anticipates staffing requirements to meet operational needs.
Participate in the recruiting and interviewing process of new employees
Build and manage Appareo IoT's customer support organization
Work with Engineering and IT to maintain robust CRM, Sales and operational systems to support our product offerings.
Support development projects that include some form of connectivity.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Completed Undergraduate Degree and/or training or equivalent
Communications products, systems and development process knowledge
Strong written and oral communication skills
Discipline to follow and enforce development/design processes
Experience in P&L and budgeting
Solid leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members
Strong analytical and decision making skills
Detail oriented, organized, consistent, and tenacious
