The Global Partner Solutions (GLOBAL PARTNER SOLUTIONS) organization plays a critical role in Microsoft’s cloud growth and digital transformation with customers. The Go-to-Market (GTM) team in Global Partner Solutions is responsible for driving the holistic go-to-market approach across the partner ecosystem, including Solution Areas (Modern Workplace, Business Applications, Apps & Infrastructure, Data & Analytics) across all customer segments (enterprise to SMB) and via managed and unmanaged partners. Our mission is to accelerate partner success in market through people, programs, investments, and campaigns across the partner lifecycle. State & Local Government & Education: Microsoft, through its Partners, aims to transform our customer in our state and local organizations as well as the education sector from K-12 to higher education.
In this role, as a Senior Partner Marketing Advisor for the State & Local Government and Education sectors, you will be the strategic thought leader to shape program design and orchestrate execution for impact of the Go-To-Market programs across both industries. Ensuring industry specific priorities are included in motions and campaigns, this role will be responsible for bringing Education and State & Local Government Industry focused motions to life, through partners. You will collaborate across stakeholder organizations to integrate State and Local Government and Education priorities throughout the partner ecosystem.
The key responsibilities for this Partner Marketing Advisor include:
Developing plan partnering with other internal Microsoft US key resources and the recruiting leads to bring in new partners to add capacity to our sales force as well as capabilities to help support our customers.
Building an Industry Partner community designed to help strengthen the Microsoft Industry ecosystem and help Partners grow by working together to build and support customers.
Managing a portfolio of key Education and State & Local Government Partners to drive pipeline and close opportunities.
Creating, supporting, and landing Industry campaigns designed to build leads, accelerate opportunities and achieve increased sales via Industry solutions with and thru Partners.
Enabling Microsoft US field sellers to help customers drive the customer business outcomes via key Industry Partner solutions in a consistent and predictable manner. This role will partner with key resources such as our Microsoft Enterprise Channel Managers to drive critical coselling effort which is a critical aspect of this position for the Industry Partner Marketing Advisor.
Key measurements for this role include lead generation and increased Microsoft sales pipeline, increased Microsoft sales revenue and Partner satisfaction.
The goals of GLOBAL PARTNER SOLUTIONS GTM programs are to provide an effective, simplified, and consistent programmatic engagement approach to accelerate and maximize impact of how we take partner offers to market and sell together to commercial industry customers. We are hiring a high energy senior partner marketing advisor whose main responsibilities include: integration of industry strategy into ongoing execution into GLOBAL PARTNER SOLUTIONS GTM top programs and campaigns across the partner lifecycle for sales acceleration; serving as primary thought leader on innovative ways to enable onboarding, sales and technical enablement strategy, and activation and acceleration of creation and delivering of industry solutions; and facilitating co-sell specific industry solutions.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5 years of experience in product or channel marketing, partner channel development, through partner marketing, or marketing operations in the technology industry.
OR equivalent experience.
2 years of program management experience.
Understanding and proven experience in the State & Local Government & Education Industries.
Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.

8 years of experience in product or channel marketing, partner channel development, through partner marketing, or marketing operations in the technology industry.
5 years of program management experience.
Proven track record in successful marketing/sales programs management.
Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment including managing virtual teams across functions.
Demonstrated creative problem-solving complex business issues through analysis, data driven insights, organizational skills and sound judgment.
Strong executive presence, including communication and presentation skills.
Experience with technology platforms and solutions with a reasonable level of proficiency across the four Microsoft solution areas.
