The Inclusion & Diversity Brand Platform Manager

uses subject matter expertise and collaboration to help facilitate the elevation, communication, and acceleration of Best Buy’s I&D strategy. This leader will work across the Inclusion & Diversity organization and partner cross-functionally to ensure that the I&D strategy permeates through the organization as we continue to transform our culture and business.

This leader is a steward of the Best Buy I&D brand and key messages. Through strategic insight and proactive gathering of insight and development of KPIs, the Platform and Brand Manager will ensure I&D programming remains relevant, impactful and supports the desired I&D outcomes we are striving to achieve.

Accountable for identifying I&D related stories that elevate and accelerate our I&D strategy

Accountable for developing communication rhythms and strategies in partnership with COPA

Responsible for providing I&D perspective to key COPA and Marketing partners.

Manages I&D digital assets and partners to ensure they are relevant and easily accessible to the team.

Responsible for gathering insight and developing KPIs that measure effectiveness of I&D activities.

Responsible for engaging events team to set up registration for major I&D events

Story-miner:

Leverages BBY networks to identify I&D stories and partner with COPA to communicate broadly. Uncovers and collaborates on stories that inspire Best Buy to do/be better. Helps I&D team articulate its strategy through compelling human stories.

Communication Strategist:

Utilizes and creates tools to effectively communicate, increase transparency, and I&D program engagement. Ability to discern the best medium to communicate key I&D messages.

Empathy Builder:

Effective listener who has developed the ability to ask questions to mine insight and capture the authentic voice of the employee. Ability to connect I&D strategy to real human interactions (guiding behavior “be human”).

Initiative management:

The ability to organize and structure work efforts, including adapting to changes and incorporating new technologies, to achieve desired results.

Business Agility:

Ability to work within and across multiple teams to gather and provide critical insight. Ensures I&D messaging remains current and consistent

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

5 years of corporate communications experience or equivalent

Experience working on inclusion, diversity, and equity related projects

Recognized as an expert at all levels of the organization and independently represents multiple or highly complex areas of expertise.
