To continue, and accelerate, this revenue growth, the Company is fortifying its Marketing function. The role of the Director, Marketing will be to drive the growth of the Company’s four complementary business units:
Individual Exchange Solutions: healthcare exchange solution targeted to individuals
Employer Exchange Solutions: healthcare exchange solution targeted to an employer’s retirees and employees
Member Acquisition: outsourced direct sales services for medical insurance carriers and brokers
Demand Generation: web-based leads for individual Medicare and pre-65 insurance products sold to brokers and carriers
Responsibilities:
HPO has a team of field-based business development representatives who employ a two-pronged approach to distribution: direct to employer and through distribution partners. The Director of Marketing will be a marketing generalist who will be able to conceive, develop and deliver the communications programs and materials needed to support the business development representatives and this distribution approach.
Specific activities that support the above responsibilities include the following:
Develop and manage sales materials, including collateral pieces, decks, white papers, testimonials, case studies and RoI calculators
Develop and implement demand generation programs, including e-mail, direct mail, webinars
Develop a strategy for, and manage attendance of, relevant industry trade shows
Generate proposals
Gather competitive intelligence, determine differentiators and identify opportunities to enhance the value proposition
Develop and manage client communication materials and programs
Manage programs to measure client satisfaction
Develop and manage branding for company and individual businesses
Develop and implement public relations program, including press releases, speaking engagements, press mentions
Experience Required:
10 years of experience in marketing with clear record of success and progression of responsibility in the development of sales support materials, demand generation programs and channel marketing programs
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong creative marketing skills
Detail-oriented with strong project management skills and the demonstrable ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams
Ability to work productively with sales professionals (both internal and partners)
Ability to effectively work on multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
B.S. degree in Marketing, Business or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Knowledge of, and experience in, delivery of medical insurance to medium- and large-sized businesses is preferred but not required; experience in insurance products for retirees is a substantial positive
