What you bring to Nike

4 years of relevant experience leading creative teams through the design process at a digital product company, digital agency or tech start-up

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, organizational communications, advertising or related field is preferred, but not required

Passion for the Nike brand, the world of sport, and for creating high-quality work

A strong attention to detail

Can read and react to a room – presenting their POV in a clear, methodical manner

Ability to identify the nuances of a request and bring transparency to unspokenproblems so the team can solve them

A strong understanding of product design and execution process

Ability to quickly identify what’s working and what’s not – adjusting your approach accordingly

Versatility – can balance multiple priorities, discern what’s important and help the team prioritize

Can start quickly and keep things moving – resourcing projects for success

Ability to forecast and manage project-related professional services budgets

A fascination with innovation and technology and a solid understanding of digital tools and trends

Ability to accurately estimate, prioritize and manage the team's time – guiding and influencing them as they meet milestones

Deep experience with the latest project management tools like Asana as well as collaboration tools like Box, Google Suite, Figma and Keynote

Deep experience in the agile methodology of project management and the ability to run a sprint

Who you’ll work with

The Core Commerce Decide & Buy Team is responsible for the UX and design of digital product features and capabilities that deliver the best possible brand experience across Nike’s decide, buy and post-purchase parts of the shopping journey – defining how users engage with product details, customization, size & fit, as well as the buying, promotions and post-purchase experiences on and in the Nike App. As a key member of this team, you’ll report into the Operations Manager of Core Commerce within Nike Digital Product Design.

What your responsibilities will be

Owning multiple medium to large projects

Delivering comprehensive briefs against a defined problem and goal

Holding the team and partners accountable to individual timelines for individual projects

Holding designers accountable for design quality and consistency

Building trust with cross-functional partners and fostering highly-collaborative design processes

Using data and consumer insights to challenge design decisions

Forming deep connections with the team, partners and stakeholders

Working within existing processes and making recommendations for improvements

Representing design while actively participating in product team meetings

Setting boundaries that protect the team – balancing workloads with time for rest and recovery

Collaborating across teams and seeking to understand the needs of product, engineering, program and brand partners

Evangelizing the Nike brand and Nike design culture internally
