The GPM team is investing in our entire martech stack with an emphasis on an ecosystem approach with Marketo at its core. We’re looking for a Sr. Marketing Infrastructure & Automation Engineer to be part of a newly forming, and rapidly expanding marketing automation team within GPM.
This individual will be critical in helping build out compelling, data driven customer journeys across the hotel partner lifecycle. If you enjoy building from scratch, thrive on turning ambiguity into productivity, and have aptitude for marketing technologies, then this role is ideal for you.
This position will be based in Bellevue, WA and will be one of the key members of our marketing infrastructure, automation and email delivery team.
This person will require solid experience in marketing tools and demonstrated automation capabilities with solutions such as Marketo to create/configure the following deliverables:
Connected Integrations with third party solutions
Functional Utilities that provide point solutions to scale our operations
Promotional and transactional emails
Registration forms and landing page templates
Event support communications
Automated customer journeys
Programming of business rules and marketing triggers
Personalization (use of tokens and snippets)
Reporting and data integration
Data manipulation / augmentation

Leadership team to ensure:
Data and Infrastructure platform can drive meaningful insights, applied analytics to drive business transformation in customer engagement journeys and closed loop reporting insights.
Sales Infrastructure teams to ensure:
Successful connection with Salesforce, enabling data flow between systems to promote lead scoring, flow, and optimized sales and marketing interactions
Data teams to ensure:
Requirements for data triggers and formatting are met for successful Marketo consumption and execution
Reporting/analytics teams to ensure:
Appropriate tagging and instrumentation (Munchkin codes, Google Analytics) are implemented to enable marketing attribution
Content/localization teams to ensure:
Content can be staged and rendered correctly in Marketo for seamless delivery
Web teams to ensure:
Registrations forms can be staged on sites to aid with customer data capture
This is a player/coach role which will require considerable amount of hands-on build time in conjunction with strategic assessments and planning.
Experience and Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing or sales related field.
10 years of B2B marketing experience, particularly in using marketing technologies to deliver marketing content across multiple channels and drive operational efficiencies.
Demonstrable skills with Marketo or other marketing automation solutions (Pardot, HubSpot, Eloqua, Unica, etc.) as well as sales CRM such as Salesforce.
Ability to take marketing concepts/requirements and translate them into functional specifications for developers and Salesforce admins.
Solid understanding of basic principles of data, how data is structured and organized, how it flows between systems, etc.
Must be able to self-direct and motivate, working independently with little oversight.
Evident understanding and practice of agile methods including use of sprints, backlog, user stories.
Ability to personally leverage API connections between connected systems from provisioning to execution to reporting of outcomes.
Leverage the foundation and fundamentals in place to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies while both maintaining quality and driving innovation.
Groom the enterprise mindset of connecting data & systems so we can realize immediate gains but ensure sustainability and growth.
Coach and mentor the expanded team on marketing automation methodologies, principles and practices.
