WhatsApp helps people connect and share no matter where they are in the world.We are looking for an experienced product marketer to play a critical role in shaping WhatsApp’s core consumer experience and digital marketing surfaces such as the website and app store pages. This person will play a significant role in leading and envisioning the future of the WhatsApp web presence, product narrative and develop breakthrough marketing initiatives that drive consumer awareness, education, and engagement.The ideal candidate is someone who can drive both strategy and execution and cares deeply about WhatsApp’s mission to connect the world privately. They are analytical and creative, highly collaborative, and will have a successful track record of launching & scaling mass-market consumer products or services that people cannot live without for a range of well-known consumer brands. They will have a track record for working closely with product and design teams, successfully managing touchpoints across the consumer lifecycle, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
Develop the strategy, content and launch plan for WhatsApp’s highly visible digital surfaces such as our website and app store pages.
Build strong product positioning and messaging across WhatsApp’s consumer products to ensure we’re delivering user value and driving understanding.
Lead a cross-functional project team of designers, copywriters, producers, data scientists and engineers to drive effective go-to-market plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive alignment and move the work forward including Brand Marketing, Business Marketing, Product and Engineering.
Communicate project status and processes clearly and often across project teams and across the larger organization. Prioritize competing needs with clear frameworks and creative solutions.
Leverage market insights, quantitative and qualitative user research to deepen our understanding of the role each digital surface plays on user journey.
Work with Marketing Insights and Data Science to measure impact and identify opportunities to optimize and improve our digital marketing surfaces.
Partner with brand and integrated marketing on outbound marketing and advertising strategies to drive consumer awareness, adoption and long-term engagement.
Define and run web roadmap in support of long-term strategies and ensure measurable milestones, metrics and KPIs are defined, tracked and aligned to company goals and objectives.
Knowledge about WhatsApp and its mission to connect the world privately.
5 years of experience in consumer product marketing and/or consumer marketing, or product management.
Experience with website designs/redesigns that feature consumer-facing technology.
Project management skills and experience.
Experience with digital measurement methodologies and analytically rigorous marketing campaigns.
Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Product design and Creative teams to drive outcomes.
Experience working as a PMM on a technical product.
Experience with SEO/SEM, App Store and/or Website optimization.
Experience in fast-paced technology, startups, or consumer mobile app space.
International experience and knowledge of diverse cultural, social and business landscapes.
