Job Description
Dewberry is currently seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to oversee pursuit and proposal efforts in support of our Federal Market operations. The ideal candidate requires a marketing background in the architecture, engineering or construction (A/E/C) or related management consulting business. This a remote position with occasional travel to Fairfax, VA.
The Senior Marketing Manager will supervise marketing staff, with a focus on professional development and leadership. The candidate will direct and QC the work of technical, proposal and graphics staff assigned to the pursuit from Dewberry, joint venture partner firms, and construction partner firms to complete compliant, compelling submittals. The Senior Marketing Manager will report directly to the Director of Marketing, Federal Market. This role will be integral in partnering with the Director to implement federal strategies and marketing plan tactics. The Senior Marketing Manager will also be responsible for overall federal team workload management and serve as a proposal manager for complex pursuits as needed. Experience with mentoring, training, and professional development of staff is required.
This position will be backed by a team of marketers who work collaboratively for success, promote strengths, and support each other's growth within Dewberry. The ideal candidate is a dedicated, market-focused professional who understands deadline-driven work and works well within a team environment. You will be required to delegate work on multiple assignments in tandem, with overlapping schedules, holding ultimate responsibility for execution.

Responsibilities
Supervise a team of marketing staff to allocate workload, foster professional development, and meet written and oral proposal demands.
Train, supervise, mentor, and support federal marketing professionals with implementing marketing best practices, federal standards, and capture lifecycle processes, while providing encouragement, continuous feedback, and accountability.
Work in tandem with business unit managers, market segment leaders, project managers, and subject matter experts to determine forward action decisions, pursuit win strategies, craft sales messages, assemble pursuit teams, manage the proposal process, and develop proposal responses.
Manage multiple proposal efforts and teams simultaneously within diverse service offerings.
Manage, develop, and maintain client action plans for high priority clients.
Support business development and operational personnel in market research, competitor analysis, and client intelligence.
Possess the sales acumen to represent the firm appropriately with teaming partners and subcontractors, at events and business networking opportunities.
Support with the implementation of federal corporate initiatives, plans, campaigns and strategies.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration on federal marketing initiatives across the company, including marketing, operating units, business units, service lines, market segments, etc.
Required Skills & Required Experience
At least 15 years of experience personally producing proposals and managing proposal efforts.
At least 5 years of experience directly supervising staff is preferred.
Experience in the Federal A/E/C market is preferred.
Strong project management and organizational experience, including delegation skills.
Effective proposal management skills, including planning, organization, problem identification and resolution, and resource management skills.
Must have extensive MS Word, PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign experience. Other graphics software and CRM database experience is also desired.
Must be available to work overtime as necessary to meet business requirements.
