Purpose

The Engineered Materials Division has an immediate opening for a Pricing Analyst located in Evansville, Indiana. The successful candidate will assume primary ownership for the determination of customer and production line bid pricing for Retail, ICL, IPD and PVC. Analyst will use cost models to establish timely, market-relevant pricing. The individual will work with the leadership positions within Sales, Finance, and Operations to develop and implement best-in-class pricing strategy, processes, and procedures and provide strategic input to bid management and rebate teams.

Responsibilities

Daily Management of transactional pricing requests on a timely basis. Approve or reject new requests based on established criteria.

Work with Sales & Marketing to recommend and establish pricing for customers’ bids, RFPs, and other pricing requests.

Perform profitability analysis by product and/or customers of revenue and costs which accurately reflect manufacturing costs, terms, trade promotions, commissions, freight, foreign exchange and other factors to improve margins and maximize EBITDA through pricing initiatives.

Maintain regular communication with sales and marketing to ensure that estimates represent pricing which considers current market and competitive constraints while maximizing profitability.

Update complex pricing models with standard and actual costs on a monthly basis, as needed.

Other projects as needed.

Work with Customer Service and Price Administrators to accurately price change orders or any other unique request (price template situations) in a way which maximizes profitability.

Maintain regular communication with the appropriate manufacturing locations to ensure the accuracy of cost related inputs and the ultimate impact to profitability.

Perform profitability analysis by product or customer while incorporating the impact of escalator mechanisms, raw material volatility clauses, volume discounts, and other unique factors.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors or Associates Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

3 or more years experience in pricing, finance or accounting related field.

Must be highly proficient in MS Excel and similar applications.

Must be trained in or able to learn JDE, BQS, and COGNOS data tools.

Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, bills of materials, and associated cost accounting.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills working across functions from manufacturing to sales.

Highly organized and detail oriented.

Knowledge of Engineered Materials Division markets, customers and capabilities a plus.
