A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You’ll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC’s brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace.

Our Business Development team supports PwC and its clients by developing sales strategies, executing tactics, and securing the resources required to close sales opportunities. As part of the team, you’ll be managing sales pursuits and the sales pipeline, helping the account team in identifying, qualifying and closing sales leads, and coordinating the utilisation of all account management methodology and business development tools.


As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines

Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors

Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities

Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications

Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria

Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

Responsibility for management of engagement financials

Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching

The MSML network works to make sure key accounts have created and are implementing a plan and supports significant key pursuits by focusing on the clients most important issues, developing deep relationships and coaching teams. The MSML understands key market trends and develops teams to position PwC as a first or early mover on these key trends to maximize our realization of revenue.

Demonstrates thought-leader level knowledge and understanding of sales and marketing profession, including competitor strategies at local and national level, and has significant experience managing others to accomplish key objectives, including:

Developing deployment strategy and helping to establish execution across assigned geography;

Identifying sector-specific and business unit specific client business issues;

Understanding the different competitive positioning strategies and knowing how to apply each to influence brand positioning, including the analyzing of current business position, and compiling, forecasting and articulating business financials; and,

Understanding the sales process, especially influencing buying decisions through marketing activities and strategic messaging in proposals.

Demonstrates proven thought leader-level abilities and success being a strategic business partner with leadership to lead a Marketing and Sales function while contributing both locally and to the national Marketing and Sales organization, with emphasis on leading strategies and driving project management and execution, influencing others, and the following related areas:

Managing overall marketing budget against conflicting demands;

Leading, and managing sales professionals in the local market, including understanding the sales resources which are needed and anticipated roles for these personnel;

Developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for the local market and working with senior leadership to deliver and distribute the optimal marketing mix to the market;

Having a focus on client interaction, including working with account teams to develop their account planning; build and maintain the long-term recurring and nonrecurring revenue stream;

Building and maintaining relationships with highest levels of leadership, with proven ability communicating, including effectively managing through a matrix organization;

Leveraging professional network to introduce others to their contacts and drive revenue growth;

Leading, managing, coaching and developing sales professionals and marketers tasked with the day-to-day execution of the strategies, including the work allocation and assignments of the team;

Utilizing sales cycle methodology, account and relationship development methodology, and driving a business development culture in a specified geography;

Leveraging technology in your marketing & sales efforts and across your team;

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging a complex, matrixed organizational structure and establish priorities serving a diverse stakeholder group;

Executing nationally-developed programs in a local market; and

Attracting the attention of and meeting with C-Suite attendees, including a proven track record of appealing to the C-Suite.
