Manager, Marketing, Pharmaceutical, Customer Service
Waters Biomedical Research marketing team is focused on enabling customers to make breakthrough scientific discoveries that lead to solutions to improve human health. As Manager, Biomedical Research Marketing, you will be responsible for
developing long term business strategy and shorter term tactical commercial activities. The position manages the development and execution of commercial solutions and strategies to grow Waters presence in the worldwide omics discovery and translational research markets by increasing awareness of the value proposition of Waters offerings.
Management of an agreed portfolio of yearly marketing projects, highlighting the benefits of Waters solutions to the Biomedical Research market, and the management of research, identification and exploitation of new business opportunities and applications.
Working closely with the Senior Director, Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Research Market Segments, the Manager will assist in the development of the direction for the company\u2019s current and future opportunities within the biomedical research market.
Identify and develop opportunities and key applications to support business development activities in core markets by understanding the customers\u2019 business and the challenges they face including collaborating closely with customers.
Maintains an awareness of competitor activities to support short and long term biomedical research business objectives targeting appropriate market segments with Waters solutions.
Ensure suitable material is available for the production of technical marketing literature and the development of marketing initiatives to support Field Marketing and Sales activity.
Manages a diverse team of marketing managers responsible for the Marketing work within the Biomedical Research Market
Manage the performance and development of staff through setting objectives, stretch goals and individual development plans.
Works collaboratively across the Waters organization on current and new products and solutions that will better meet customer business objectives. This may entail identifying partnerships and acquisition opportunities to support the group\u2019s strategy.
Drives collaboration and knowledge sharing through the development of cross-functional business networks in areas that are critical to the business
Work collaboratively with other business managers as well as other professionals throughout the organization to ensure transfer of best practices and overall business development
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Other responsibilities as required by the business objectives of Waters Corporation.
Bachelor\u2019s degree required, preferably in a scientific field. MBA strongly desired.
7 years experience in scientific marketing. Experience in pharmaceutical, biomedical, medical industry highly desirable.
Demonstrated effort leading a successful \u201cgo to market\u201d campaign.
Experience with leading teams of people/networks or business projects. Previous leadership/management preferred.
Evidence of good communication skills and of building good relationships with customers.
Commercial/marketing experience or experience of a customer facing role would be preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skill
