Janney is seeking an experienced Content Marketing Strategist. This person will be a key contributor in our efforts to educate and engage prospective and existing Janney clients, and help build long-term relationships with their financial advisors. In this role, you will conceive and create content for publication, help develop strategies and campaigns, and manage continual upgrades to content. This role reports directly to the Vice President, Director of Client Marketing Strategy, and will work closely with internal business partners as well as Marketing and Corporate Communications team members.
Major responsibilities include:
Develop content in partnership with internal partners to promote key capabilities of Janney’s wealth management and capital markets businesses, as well as key client segments including women and the next generation. Support requests for content creation, positioning, production and distribution.
Approach content development with digital first mindset for content distribution across multiple platforms including web and mobile devices, and support multi-media content development via podcasts and videos to supplement traditional publications.
Work with vendors who provide third-party content, and edit for distribution across multiple-channels.
Adhere to editorial standards and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the company style guide.
Oversee content tracking and update process for client-facing content across multiple platforms, and work with content owners for timely update completion.
Partner with technology to implement enhancements to upgrade and development content management process.
Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that involve coordination across various internal groups to develop message, planning guidance, solution sets, practice management, and strategic partner content. Coordinate content distribution across all channels (web, emails, calls, in person meetings) and that includes advisor education and engagement, and regional/branch leadership engagement.
Demonstrated ability in successfully creating communications strategies, messaging and editorial content
Experience managing and implementing marketing campaigns and initiatives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to coordinate and influence internal and external parties to work toward common goals
Ability to multi‐task and prioritize activities effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability and initiative to think independently, and handle increasing responsibility over time
Superior time management and organization, and ability to meet tight project deadlines
Experience in digital distribution of content including websites, mobile devices and email
Knowledge of MS Office Suite required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, marketing, communications
Minimum 5 years of marketing and content development experience, preferably in the financial services industry
Advertising or marketing agency experience a plus
