We’re seeking a dynamic, innovative, results-oriented Vice President of Digital Marketing & Media to make our digital connections a key differentiator to owners, guests, employees, and investors. It will require mastery of the complex interplay of our consumer’s world, our brand’s world, and the technology landscape, all powered by data. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Digital Innovation and Ecommerce, this role will join a talented group of leaders under the Chief Brand Officer who are focused on transforming the way we engage customers and reinventing the way we do business-as-usual through brands, digital, CRM, Partnerships, and Public Relations. This VP will lead a team of digital marketing and media professionals that already drive substantial revenues; the right leader can harness that existing energy and passion and drive us to even better results. This leader is the champion within the company that ensures owners and prospects feel like they are engaging in a single conversation with one company.The role has four primary focus areas: 1) Owner engagement and retention, 2) New prospects trial of our brands and products, 3) Maximizing value of the social media channels for owners, prospects, investors, and employees, and 4) Thought leadership around enterprise solutions for email, SMS, DMP, and other distributed communications technologies. The VP will manage four directors and be responsible for multi-channel communications and media strategy across mobile, social, paid media, SEO/PPC, and email/SMS/push communications. This role will manage external agencies, platforms, and partners to deliver digital marketing excellence. It demands close collaboration with the Sales, Finance, IT, Customer Care, Consumer Finance, and Operations teams and a keen ability to prioritize within a complex, matrixed organization. A savviness to trends and a passion for travel are keys to success; but knowing the difference between sizzle and steak will keep us all on track. Job Duties and Responsibilities:Leadership - Provide strategic direction, operational oversight and performance accountability for all digital communications and media for the comprehensive portfolio of WD brands. Coach, develop, and lead team members to ensure organization, department, and individual goals are met. Oversee the processes, relationships, and tools that result in the successful execution of the digital vision, ensuring that digital products and programs drive bottom line value to the brands.Partnership - Guide internal business partners in identifying, developing, and executing digital communications and media programs and utilize persuasive skills to drive the prioritization of initiatives with the greatest strategic impact. Work with internal and external resources to improve YOY performance and overall sales channel contribution. Provide regular communication to business partners and senior leadership teams.Strategy & Planning - Leads the Integrated Communications Planning process with multiple business partners to identify a clear communication strategy across all channels taking into account sales, owner services, resort operations, and PR communications strategies. Manage data integrations from analytics platforms to enable cradle to grave reporting, modeling and business insights. Work with database teams to define targeted data sets and align campaigns.Social Media Management – Drive paid, owned, and earned social media strategy through Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and owned community platforms. Manage listening to inform sentiment and temperature of our owners, engage in community management to guide the discussion, and most importantly create campaigns that activate our brand advocates to speak on our behalf.Digital Lead Generation – Create and manage lead generation campaigns across digital channels that improve personalization and lead quality. Engage appropriate AOR/Agency partners to mine cookie data to identify high value leads. Create personalized pinned offers that drive trial and conversion.Measurement & Results - Drive measurable ROI and KPIs including awareness, referrals, and conversion. Digital Marketing and Media strategies include awareness building, lead generation, trial, reputation management, owner engagement, upsell, advocacy, and exit. Develop and report on programs in terms of key drivers such as leads generated, cost reductions, lead conversions, ownership usage, bookings/reservations, package sales, tours generated, arrivals and ROI generated.Finance, Budgeting, and Contracts - Develop efficient strategies to reach audiences within constraints of budgets, helping us “punch above our weight” in the cluttered travel and leisure media landscape. Manage a multi-million dollar budget including budgeting, forecasting, labor, tools and platforms, vendors, and media. Work with finance to create a performance-based lead generation marketing budget.
