Marketing Consultant Jobs description

Marketing consultants are exposed to various facets of marketing, including sales, advertising, and market research, and gain in-depth knowledge of marketing activities. They outline marketing plans in consultation with higher management and chief accounting officers to increase business prospects. Marketing consultants also provide consultations to business professionals and advertising and marketing teams and oversee media budgeting and planning. They prepare strategies based on the information they gather and experience.

A marketing consultant plays an important role in the positioning and success of his or her company. Apart from their companies' marketing programs, marketing consultants are also involved in other business development activities, such as financial management, internal and external resource management, and online marketing activities. Marketing consultants are responsible for identifying and providing information about new market trends, consumer demands, and new sales and marketing processes.

In order to become a marketing consultant, one should have a master's degree in business management as well as three to five years of experience in marketing or a related field. Working knowledge of online marketing and campaign planning in addition to media handling is a must. Proven presentation and communication skills are required.
