Product Marketing Jobs description
The job profile of a product marketing professional includes handling product promotion activities, developing marketing communications plans to endorse product features, and spreading the word about new product launches and other events. Product marketing professionals also develop and strategize product life cycles according to customer needs and competitors' strategies. The product marketing professional oversees new promotion plans, designs programs to position products, and manages product goals.The product marketing manager also works to ensure proper product training, effective coordination between the production team and the marketing or sales team, and appropriate allocation of internal as well as external resources. Other major aspects of product marketing manager jobs are developing effective product pricing policies and implementing promotional strategies.
A bachelor's degree or a minimum of three to five years of experience in the product marketing field is essential if one wishes to become a product marketing manager. Comprehensive knowledge of product planning and marketing is required. Product marketing managers with strong corporate communication skills and high energy levels are highly preferred. Proven ability to negotiate and work as part of a team is also necessary.
