SEM Jobs description
With the increasing use of the Internet for business purposes such as advertising, there is a growing demand for search engine marketing (SEM) specialists.SEM specialists typically manage the in-house paid search programs of one or more of the company\'s brands or the search programs for a client\'s brands. SEM specialists must have strong critical thinking and creative capabilities, the desire and ability to become world-class search marketers, and be comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a rapidly changing environment.
SEM specialists will also be responsible for managing relationships with search engine vendors such as Google and Yahoo!, expanding campaigns to drive incremental revenue, and managing a budget for specific financial and customer metrics. Therefore, SEM specialists are required to have strong communication and interpersonal skills along with excellent negotiation abilities. Substantial knowledge of how online search engines work and of HTML is a must for SEM specialists.
