Technical Marketing Jobs description
Technical marketing specialists are involved in reformulating technical documents according to clients’ specifications. They also provide marketing support in terms of technical marketing communications and training on technical details of products and services. The technical marketing specialist reports directly to the marketing manager or business development head.The technical marketing specialist is also responsible for designing and implementing new product models, redefining existing software programs, and deploying new features. Additionally, he or she creates test models for new programs or technical applications.
The technical marketing specialist works closely with the development team and marketing team to ensure proper delivery of services to end-users.
A technical marketing specialist should have sound experience in programming. Candidates with bachelor’s degrees in software engineering are preferred. Strong knowledge of new software applications and changing marketing trends is required. Working knowledge of video telephony, multimedia, HTML support and other protocols, LAN/WAN switching, XML, and VXML is mandatory. Any candidate for a technical marketing job should have a basic understanding of business applications such as customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning, and workforce management. Excellent oral and written communication skills and analytical ability are also necessary.
