According to Forrester Research, Inc.'s survey, "In Search of Green Technology Consumers," 12% of U.S. adults agree to pay more for consumer electronics products that save energy or come from a company that is environmentally responsible. Forrester surveyed 5,000 U.S. adults and classified them in three parts — bright green consumers totaled 12%, representing 25 million Americans, green consumers constituted 41% (representing nearly 90 million), and non-green consumers made up 47% (96 million). "We fully expect green technology consumers to further emerge as a target segment for style-conscious electronics manufacturers as the industry moves beyond beige-box design," said Christopher Mines, a Forrester Research executive.
