Dow Jones Announces New CMO

Dow Jones & Co. has promoted Paul Bascobert, senior vice president-operations, to chief marketing officer of the Dow Jones Consumer Media Group (CMG), effective immediately. He succeeds Ann Marks, who resigned recently, and will report to Todd Larsen, the chief operating officer of CMG. In his new role, Bascobert will be responsible for growing circulation of CMG properties — The Wall Street Journal and WSJ.com. Bascobert joined Dow Jones in March 2006 from an Internet marketing firm Exchange Solutions and has worked with companies such as The New York Times, General Motors, DirecTV, and OnStar.
