Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide (Ogilvy PR) has partnered with BzzAgent, Inc., making it the first PR agency in the U.S. to formally partner with the international word-of-mouth media network. The alliance gives Ogilvy PR access to BzzAgent's community of 370,000 consumer volunteers as part of its public relations, marketing, and communications services to clients. "Our partnership with Ogilvy PR is a milestone for the PR industry because it demonstrates that word of mouth is not reserved solely for advertising and media buying agencies," said Dave Balter, CEO of BzzAgent. BzzAgent will also provide training and practice resources to the agency staff. Ogilvy PR's 360 Degree Digital Influence group will coordinate the activities between the agency, client, and BzzAgent.
