The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) is offering a new free access website for all its editorials, op-ed pieces, video interviews, and commentary starting this week. WSJ's free website, OpinionJournal.com, will be merged into WSJ.com's opinion section. The Journal described this move as the closest it'll "get to conceding there is such a thing as a free lunch." The Journal has offered an online, paid subscription service since 2000. OpinionJournal.com, offers select stories from www.wsj.com/opinion, as well as some additional web-only features for both its U.S. and overseas editions. The site also provides book reviews and leisure and arts coverage. The move came almost a month after News Corp. officially acquired the WSJ.
