ESPN Marketing Executive Joins WSJ

The Wall Street Journal has appointed Andrew Sippel to the position of vice president of marketing and business development, effective February 25. Sippel succeeds David Wachtel, who has left the company. Sippel previously served as senior vice president of sports and product management at ESPN. In his new role, Sippel will support print and online ads, develop innovative advertising programs, and organize events and promotions. He will report to Michael F. Rooney, chief revenue officer of Dow Jones & Company.
